By the time Andre Russell was dismissed KKR were already 160+ and later down the order the tail featuring Piyush Chawla and Kuldeep Yadav and scored last 22 runs in just 10 balls. Kolkata Knight Riders innings came to an end at 185/8 in 20 overs.

The score of 185 is good enough to give goosebumps and sweaty palms to any opposition skipper, but DC shocked everyone out of nowhere and started smashing the bowlers from the ball one. Although Shikhar Dhawan lost his wicket early at 16, Prithvi Shaw looked a man on a mission and played a sparkling inning of 99 in his third IPL match otherwise what could have been a ton to remember over years.

Shreyas Iyer too joined the party and scored a brisk 43 of 32 balls including 2 mounting sixes and boundaries respectively. In the end, both Prithvi Shaw and Rishabh Pant were too hot to handle by the KKR, but fortune favored KKR and the match resulted in a tie hinting for the first super over of the tournament.

This is the third super over for KKR and second for DC and both the teams were on a losing side. In the super over Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer came to bat and the bowler was Prasidh Krishna. Krishna used all his experience and only gave 10 runs in the first over and also dismissed Rishabh Pant.

It’s time for KKR to face the super over, in the first 4 balls KKR scored only 5 runs and lost Andre Russell and in the end, Delhi Capitals won the match after so long roaster coaster ride.

Prithvi Shaw was declared the man of the match for thunderous 99 of just 55 balls including 12 fours and 3 sixes. You could see the tears in Prithvi Shaw eyes and feel for him, but the crowd got their money worth.
