RR vs SRH Match Summary: Rajasthan Royals registered an emphatic victory over Sunrises Hyderabad in the 45th match of Indian Premier League on Saturday. With this win, Rajasthan’s hopes for making into the playoffs are still alive. 

Sanju Samson and Steven Smith guide Rajasthan Royals to a seven wicket victory over Sunrises Hyderabad. Sanju Samson scored an unbeaten 48, while Steven Smith also chipped in with 22 off 16 balls, including three fours.

Chasing a below – par 161, Rahane and Livingstone gave an ideal start to the Royals, reaching 78 after 9 overs before Livingstone fell off Rashid Khan after playing a good inning of 44 runs off 26 balls. Livingstone hit four fours and three sixes in his innings. Rahane also contributed well for his 39 off 34 balls. 

SRH’s bowlers’ inability to pick wickets was once again on display, with the trio of Rashid Khan, Shakib Al Hasan, and Khaleel Ahmed picking one apiece. Seamer Bhuvneshwar Kumar went wicketless in his quota of four overs. 

Earlier, Riding on Manish Pandey’s sensational 61 run innings, SRH posted 160 runs in 20 overs in the first innings. 

David Warner played an uncharacteristic inning of 37 runs off 32 balls, while skipper Williamson once again failed to contribute with the bat, having fell cheaply for just 13 off 14 deliveries. 

Prominent batsmen with the likes of Vijay Shankar, Shakib Al Hasan, and Deepak Hooda failed to give the ideal flourish in the end, as SRH was restricted to only 160 for 8 in the first innings. 

Bowlers with the likes of Varun Aaron, Oshane Thomas, Shreyas Gopal, and Jaydev Unadkat all picked two wickets each as Rajasthan Royals won their fifth match in the tournament on Saturday.
