Jason Omar Holder, a cricketer from Barbados and a former captain of the West Indies cricket team, was born on 5 November of the year 1991. Right-arm fast bowler Jason Holder is a versatile player who plays in all three formats of cricket. Holder was recognized as the best all-around player in the world in January 2019 by the official International Cricket Council (ICC) Test rankings.

Cricket Career

Holder won the Test Player of the Year award from Cricket West Indies in the month of August of the year 2019, and on April 14, of the year 2021, one of Wisden’s Five Cricketers of the Year was Omar Holder. Holder is the sixth player from the West Indies to score 2000 runs and take 100 wickets in one-day internationals. Jason Omar Holder is also the first to take three wickets in a T20 match. In test match cricket, Omar Holder became only the second West Indian, after Garfield Sobers, to score 2500 runs and take 150 wickets. The West Indies side that won the 2016 T20 World Cup included Holder.

Domestic Cricket Career

Holder was signed by the Chennai Super Kings in the IPL auction a few days after making his international debut in 2013 for his base salary of $20,000. Sunrisers bought him in the year 2014. In the batting order against all-rounders Karn Sharma and Parvez Rasool, Sunrisers Hyderabad’s Omar Holder received a promotion. Jason Holder was purchased by Kolkata Knight Riders in the 2016 year auction. Holder recorded two wickets at 51.50 and 22 runs at 5.50 in the four games in which he took part. International Career

On February 1, of the year 2013, Holder played in his first One Day International (ODI) match against Australia. His first noteworthy ODI performance came in the opening match against Pakistan in the month of July of the year 2013, where he took 4 for 13, although the effort was overshadowed by Pakistan’s Shahid Afridi, who took seven wickets as West Indies were bowled out for 98.
