Pro Kabaddi Season 7 kick-starts today, 20th July, 2019 and all the teams have announced their captains. Here’s the list:
Bengaluru Bulls: Rohit Kumar
After making debut in Pro Kabaddi Season 3, Rohit Kumar has come through the ranks as one of the top raiders. He has been with Bengaluru Bulls since Pro Kabaddi Season 4. He was made the captain in Pro Kabaddi Season 6, where he led the team to their maiden title win. The raider will continue his leadership duties in the upcoming season as well.
Gujarat Fortunegiants: Sunil Kumar
The raider led his team to the finals of the last season, but was not able to win it for them. He has been retained as the captain of the team for this season. The young captain would be very excited to make a comeback into the season and hope to cross the finish line this time.
Patna Pirates: Pardeep Narwal
One of the best raiders of Pro Kabaddi League, Pardeep Narwal will be once again leading the pack for the upcoming season. The Dubki King has been associated with Patna Pirates since Pro Kabaddi Season 3, and has won them two out of three titles in his captaincy. After a disappointing Pro Kabaddi Season 6, the captain and his team will be looking to bounce back hard in this season.
Telugu Titans: Abozar Mohajermighani
The Iranian national has been announced as the captain for the Titans in this season. Also known as the ‘smiling assassin’, the defender’s aggressive approach will be reflected by his team and it will be interesting to see how far he can take his team in the tournament.
Tamil Thalaivas: Ajay Thakur
He is one of the leading raiders in the Kabaddi world. He has been associated with Tamil Thalaivas since Pro Kabaddi Season 5 and he will be hopeful to lead his team to the title this season.
Puneri Paltan: Surjeet Singh
The management has announced the defender as their captain for the upcoming season. The experienced defender will not only be leading the defence but will be accountable for the whole team.
Jaipur Pink Panthers: Deepak Niwas Hooda
The top raider of the Pro Kabaddi League has been handed over the leadership role of the team to guide the players to have a successful tournament. The ever-so-successful all-rounder will have his task cut-out.
UP Yoddha: Nitesh Kumar
He has been in association with the Yoddhas since Pro Kabaddi Season 5 and will now have to lead the way, given his experience.
Bengal Warriors: Maninder Singh
He is one of the main raiders in the squad and his association with the Warriors has been since Pro Kabaddi Season 5. He is the perfect choice to captain the side.
Haryana Steelers: Dharmaraj Cheralathan
He is an experienced campaigner in the defence and will now be leading the whole pack for this season. With Surender Nada now out of the side, he will have to shoulder further responsibility.
U Mumba: Fazel Atrachali
The Iranian defender is among the top defenders currently and has been handed over the captaincy for this season.
Dabang Delhi: Joginder Narwal
One of the dangerous defenders on the mat has good leadership skills as well. He will be looked upon to make sure the Delhi team finally crosses the finish line to win the league.
